I should call this my once a year blog :o)

I've found my way back to this blog once again. And it's been a year since I have been here so now I am just trying to think of what has happened.

I finished up my first year at Grand Valley in the Therapeutic Recreation program and have enjoyed that.

I am still working in the nursing Office at Grand Valley and that definitely has it's up and downs like any job.

One of my best friends is getting married in about a week and I get to be her maid of honor.

Speaking of weddings this was the summer for them. I counted SIX weddings I had this summer. Never before have I ever had that many. And after being the maid of honor for my friends I have found that I am really not a planner type of person. I like to help the planners of this world :O)

I am making plans to maybe go to Romania next summer for my field work.

Cherie moved away to Jackson but might be back this November.

We got a new dog and named her Zoey she is a demon dog sometimes though.

Missed Camp pretty bad this year but was able to visit some friends from camp during Cherry Festival.

Dad's job has been on the rocks.

I haven't been able to do much this summer because of working so much. I am missing my bike trails and swimming pool.

Wednesday nights have been the high light of my summer, working with the Jr. High has been a true blessing in my life. I was even able to go on the mission trip with them to Benton Harbor. And let me just tell you those students are amazing. They are hard workers and a blast to be with.

School will be starting soon and I am some what ready. I think I am ready to not work as much. Not sure if I am ready for the homework.

Well, can't think of much else.

See ya in a year probably :o)

Long time gone

Well seeing how it has been about two years since being on this thing. I fell there is some catching up to do. I can't believe how time flys. Around this time I would still be at camp, but instead I was home taking a summer class. I'm not going to lie it was different being home for a whole summer. I felt kind of lazy. It wasn't at all like being at camp where every minute of your day is non stop action. (Even when you are trying to sleep and the fire alarm goes off right above your head, not cool) But I tried my best to see what I could help out with around the house. And I was able to visit camp for a weekend which was nice. It was good to see some old friends and see all the changes they made to the place.

The main reason why I stayed home this summer was to take the second half of anatomy. It went well, although I did find out that I do not make a good summer student, I would much rather be out in the sun relaxing. I'm not saying that it will be the last of me taking summer classes, but now it will be. I now know I will really have to work at being disciplined if I want to do well.

Something else that kept me busy this summer was trying to train for my first mini triathlon. I did a lot of swimming for it, I biked, once the day before the race. Than it came to the running and lets just say the only running that I did was the day of the triathlon, lol. I do not like to run with a passion. But after finishing that day I felt like I could take it back up again. I was just finishing the 12 mile bike ride when the first guy was crossing the finish line, he had already ran the 3 miles. Pretty crazy!!! And the first women to finish was the oldest one there. I'm glad that I did it to say that I did, but I hope to be able to train more for next year and do better.

Because of taking the summer class I was not able to be apart of the Jr. High ministry, which was a big disappointment. But last night I was able to go and it was very uplifting.

This fall I will be starting my first semester at GVSU and beginning my program in Therapeutic Recreation. I'm looking forward to having a support group and finally doing classes that I am interested in.

This fall I will also be taking a photography class at GRCC. I found an old canon AE-1 camera at a rummage sale for $8 bucks. It came with a zoom lens and everything. The flash no longer attaches to the top but I figure that is just a small problem. It takes beautiful outdoor pictures. I'm looking forward to what I will learn from the class.

I'm in the process right now of trying to find a new job and there are a couple options that have come my way, one is at the GVSU science building where I will be for the next three years, and the other is at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Both have there advantages and disadvantages so now it is just waiting and praying to see which one God would have me pursue.

My dad is also working on trying to get a pole barn build. This will give him much more room to work on cars.

So you can see that a lot has been happening and that is just this summer. Hopefully I will be able to be a better blogger in the future. But until than, thanks for reading!!!

Summer Camp is over, But Lake Ann is still Alive and Kick'in

Even with Camp being done for about a week know I feel I have been more busy this last week and a half with helping out guest groups and such. There was a total of 377 campers saved this summer!!! If I didn't have school in the fall I would love to stay and do the intership here but I know it's not my time yet maybe in the future. I'm looking so forward to seeing everyone's smiling face when I get home and be able to sit down and talk with everyone. I'm here until the 27th and if you think of it pray that there would be safty at the waterfront. I will be the only lifeguard here for the remained of the time and they are bring in some people from the Red Cross. It will be nice to have the extra help. I miss everyone and look forward to seeing you. Take Care, I love you and God Bless.

Last Week of Summer Camp and more to come...

This is the last week of summer camp. God has been doing some pretty amazing things here. 60 campers were saved last week. Yahoo!!!! And last week at the begin of the week before the week even started we had only 100 and so campers signed up and than they gave a huge discount and and there ended up being 400 or more. It was cool to see all the campers that God brought to camp. I was asked to counsel one last time for the summer but sadly/ Happily if that makes sense. I turned it down. Cherie, Jennifer and Ashley came up to visit me. It was so great to see them. I felt petty back getting us lost all over. But it was great to see them. A couple of representatives from Romania are here at camp and I would really like the chance to talk to them. About Romania. The team left yesterday to go to Romania and will be there for 2 weeks. There are Two weeks of camp this year instead of one. Which is so exciting. It's also awesome to see the campers giving at chapel. Well, Camp Chenaniah is no longer coming. This was another camp that would come and use our waterfront from 10:30-11:30 in the morning so now with them not coming any more we have our mornings off again. Which is nice we are able to help in other areas and such. This is the last week of camp like I said above but I will most likely be up here until the end of August. Helping with other groups.
I hope all is well back at home with everyone I'm thinking of you and Praying for you. Love you all.

Lake Ann Is Pretty Amazing!!!!

Camp is going very well. I am now working in the camp stores. Week one I was in the Nurses Station, Week two I had the opportunity to be a counselor of Nine amazing wonderful girls. It was very sad to see them leave. I'm now in flamingo and loving every minute of it. Never a dull moment. This weekend plans are to go to a wedding and fireworks. I'm very excited. Thank you to all of you who have been patient with me and updating this thing. I hope all is well in the homestead. I will try to update it more often. May you find yourselves in God's presents at every moment of the day today. Take Care and God Bless.

On your mark, get set, go!!!!!! Camp is in full fling

Camp has started and it is going to be an Amazing year I can already tell just from four days. The staff has really bonded well. I'm still not sure what store I will be working in because the Red canoe "or the store" is still under construction. So we are not able to start moving things yet. I'm really super excited to see all that God will do in this place and in the lives of the Campers. We had a really good speaker the other day he was so real and just told us how he did things so people would like him. He wouldn't do things just out of the goodness of his heart. His message was just so impactful. It's really hard for me to put into words what has happened to me in the past couple of days. Words just can't describe how I feel. Christina I meant your friend that you were telling me about we actually hide behide a tree together playing camouflage. It was funny. She's a really sweet girl and she was asking me all about who you were dating because she heard from someone that you were dating someone and she Knew that is wasn't Jose (I don't know how to spell his name) But yeah she's a sweet heart. So I will try to update as much a possible. I hope you are all well.

Love,

Chaille

Hello friends I just recieved this email from my aunt an update on Michia's progress,
Yesterday, We got the results of Micah's ambulatory EEG. Diagnosis is Epilepsy (Complex Partial seizures) and Irregular heart rhythm. We are exploring options for treatment, and will be having him scheduled for an EKG to determine if there is reason to be concerned about irregular heart rhythm. We appreciate you cards & prayers. Thank you so much for your support.
Love, Gil & Donda
Thanks to all who have been praying for their family it means a lot to them.
